Why does my brazilian roomates is always barefoot?

As soon as she commes home, she takes off her shoes and socks

That’s the normal thing to do at home, to keep their home clean. And some people wearing/change their shoes to slippers or sandals after they get home.

It’s not just a Brazilian thing lol I do the same. Why would I wear my shoes from outside around the house after I could’ve stepped in food, liquid, sticky stuff, etc? I’ll be barefoot or wear slippers.

I do the same lol I don’t wear socks at all around the house unless it’s cold and only wear slippers to walk around. Do you have like a foot phobia or something?
