When guys tell girls they "look like a man" why do they do it?

i always see online guys telling girls "you look like a man" or "she isn't hot, she looks like a dude!" or "are you a guy?" "were you born a man?" and the girl looks NOTHING like a guy! I've had this happen to me a few times too, and it really hurts and makes me SUPER insecure and makes me think I look like a guy, so I freak out and ask my boyfriend (I live with him) "do I look like a guy?" he'll tell me no, and I'll ask "do I have manly features? are you lying?" he'll tell me no and get all annoyed lol and ask why I'm asking, so I'll tell him guys online are telling me I look like a guy/tranny/etc so I'm afraid I look like a guy! why do guys feel the need to tell women that they look like guys? is it because they really do? I already have self-esteem issues and hate how I look because I'm not good enough in my eyes and think my boyfriend deserves better =(. Guys do you do this to girls? I ALWAYS see this online, and even hear it in real life. and 9 times out of 10, the girl does not look like a man...is it to just crush her feelings? also, I know girls say it too, but I want to know why guys do it, thank you

I will rather say - if you put your picture on the internet, then people will make judgements. Guys esp. will be blunt. I assume girls put pictures on the internet so I can be titillated. Sue me.

OK, maybe you don't conform to the conventional standard? Doesn't mean you're not attractive (to someone), seeing as you have a boyfriend and all.

I know obese girls (beyond fat) and butt ugly girls (imho) who are in deliriously happy relationships. So they're not not on the cover of FHM. There are plenty models out there who would be sick with envy if they knew how good a man could treat them.

Need an ego-boost? Your dude is where you get it from. If you put your pics up and you're hot, I'll let you know. If you're not, I'll let you know as well, if you ask nicely.

Something about you obviously 'works' - you got this far already, right? If it's still too much for you, there is always plastic surgery.

stop letting simple people affect your self esteem. I know its easier said than done but you can get there. online many guys become very harsh judges of the opposite gender and they're usually the ones that girls wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, its a way of putting someone else down so they can feel powerful. get a thicker skin and don't let it bother u. your boyfriend thinks your pretty

Pointing out themselves. Maybe he wants to look like a women. Does he have a tendency to look like or desire to wear women's clothing secretary or something? He might frustrated or trying to make someone feel bad about themselves so he could gain more comforts.

no hair my face, no strong jaw line but I have high cheek bones, not muscular, dono if I'm broad shouldered...in the middle maybe, big hips and small waist so idk
