What does it mean when a girl does that?

I was on the bus, and there was a girl sitting right next to me , she then picked up her phone and held it forward (using it like a mirror) and started playing with her hair in a way that seemed aimless , it wasn't styling or adjusting , just playing with it in a somewhat showy manner. She kept doing this for about 30 minutes straight , I felt weird and started giving her curious glances for a several times, in some of it when I looke at her, she would also look at me and then continue doing what she was doing , the story is old , but my curiosity remains to this day about why she did this and what her intention was , I was the only one on the bus who seemed to notice.

You should have taken the time to ask her because how would we know what she wanted to do or achieve by doing that.

Perhaps she filmed herself to see how her hair looked like, perhaps she wanted to impress someone that she sends the video to, perhaps she wanted to impress you, which she obviously did since after so long you still have thoughts about her, perhaps, perhaps, perhaps...

I don't know of anyone doing this with their hair and I think that you will never know and take that uncertainty with you to the grave.

She wasn't filming herself, she was just using the phone screen as a mirror, no I didn't pay much attention to the matter, just some curiosity because this behavior

Anyone who knows body language knows that one single cue means nothing. Someone can play with their hair because they’re bored or even uncomfortable around someone to calm themselves. She may have also just been fixing her hair and checking herself out. She could have liked you or not I don’t know.

The thing is to look for everything if someone’s acting differently then their baseline and displaying multiple signs of attraction. That’s when it means something.

Well, you mean aside from a particularly prominent taste for vanity, and a striking "IDGAF" approach to social settings ? If I were you, I wouldn't think that I had any part in this situation whatsoever. Because such high level of vanity means that I'm just a decor to her, a tool that supports the love she has for her reflection.
