I think they create the world they have to live in. It may seem great at first. A world where everything revolves around you and everyone is at your beck and call. But there is no real connection in that sort of world. One day, these type of women wake up and realize no one really knows them and know one really cares about them because thier while life has been self-serving. What's worse is much of the time, by the time they realize it, they're so far along in their life that thier powerless to fix it. And they wind up dying old and alone.
