You ever stopped trusting someone even after you been with them for a long time?

my ex and I were together for a long time , we started off as friends’ and then lovers and we married and had children , Her and I had a lot of ups and downs through the years , but we managed to stay together for as long as we did , eventually as time went on , with all the arguments and fights we encountered we had , her and I decided to go our separate ways, i ended up meeting and sleeping with other girls’. And she claims she didn’t hook up with anyone and says she still loves me and wants to work things out , but there is too many resentments towards each other , we no longer really see eye to eye on things like we did before. She claims she doesn’t want anyone else , but me , and other times she makes comments that she wants a better man then me , always leaving a question mark over my head, making it harder for me to believe her , she also became friends’ with a girl that I don’t trust , mainly because I feel this girl wants more than friendship with my wife , their friendship is very weird and shady to me , even though my wife tells me she isn’t into girls’ whatsoever, I have a hard time believing her , they have arguments like a married couple and they make up and plan gateways just for the 2’pf them, and she doesn’t discuss it with me whatsoever , she just says her and her friend are going away My wife never acted this way with her other girlfriends before , so all I see is red flags , and I told my wife to be honest with me. She immediately gets upset with me when I ask any questions, so I tell her I don’t trust her anymore and think it’s best we go our separate ways , because the trust between us is gone and I don’t think it can be fixed. I told her how I feel about her friend and it’s like she doesn’t care , I tell her why do you want to go on trips with her anyways you both always fight , and tells me she is no longer going to be friends with her? Which is BS. Is she Bi? She isn’t going to tell me the truth

I have stopped trusting people because I had been around them for a long time. It can take time to notice someone's lies or their shady character, especially if they are good at putting on a fake face. But eventually you will see the cracks and, if you are willing to look closer, realize they are not who they pretend to be. It hurts. I understand why some people choose to ignore it instead of confronting or giving up the relationship they thought was so good at the start.

Yeah I have but one day I had enough and I wish I would’ve done it a lot earlier. She still to this day needs my help but I couldn’t be more happier that I chose to have her out of my life. She never cheated on me I just couldn’t trust her financially and I couldn’t take the lies and all the bullshit that came with it.
