Is overthinking more of a feminine trait?

Overthinking is more of a problem; it's the repetitive thinking about a topic down to the finest detail when we don't take action. But in my opinion, this is more common in women, especially in relationships. In environments like this site, you see women wondering, "Does my boyfriend love me?" or "Why did my boyfriend do that?" This is because they hesitate to go and talk to their boyfriend or the person they like, and it causes overthinking.

I think I remember with the 5 factor model of personality that women score hire on neuroticism, but I think it's important to remember that guys don't tend to open up as much about how they are feeling. When I first met my husband he really struggled with being emotionally vulnerable. He was told that if he shared his emotions to much women would lose interest. He's come a long way, but I've noticed this with some of my other exes

I believe women do think more than men, which is probably an evolutionary trait that resulted from women having nothing to do but sit around the cave knitting while our male ancetors were out hunting. However there probably needs to be more research done to reach a definitive answer.

I do not think... see what I did there lol... over thinking is gender specific at all. I have met plenty of guys who think too much and hesitate. Hell you can read many overthinking posts here by guys.
