Why does she get jealous but doesn’t commit?

So this girl I’ve been talking to texted me yesterdaynight. She said she started to notice herself getting worried when i go out if there is someone else for me and that she notices that she herself feels guilt for even talking to another guy.

I said I could take those fears away and make it official but she says she isn’t a star to be in a real relationship now. Yet keeps talking to me that way and seeing me.

Well in her text yesterday she said we should maybe stop as she doesn’t want to worry about me anymore and doesn’t want that feeling of guilt.

I said there might be a reason you worry and feel guilty. Why not admit that.

She said I know but I can’t

So I didn’t speak to her yet since that last message but. I really feel like this behavior only happens if she’s into me. I know her story and get why she is distrustful but damn, i have grown to like her so much.

Am I wrong to think she is really into me but troubled by her own sh*t

A relationship like that is going to be a lot of work, a lot of stress and it will take at least 3 years for this stage to go away ime

I have a friend who's currently in a very similar situation to yours.

Only they had a history they went tit for tat. Years go by, now theyre love bombing eachother. She's insecure because she's probably dealing with feeling like she doesn't deserve a guy like him, he's feeling insecure because he wants a real relationship at this point in his life and he's worried his forgiveness won't give the security he wants from her if that makes sense.

So they're both extremely anxious about loyalty in this relationship and it has gotten better over the past year and a half maybe 2 years but she has also blinded him in many ways which I personally have allowed women to blind ME in the past.

So the best I can say is keep a journal/diary. Whatever you want to call it. Mine saved me from becoming an incel after a girl cheated on me.

Think it is even more similar haha, we also have a history. Similar situations as I am in now but never as intense/real.

We both expressed feelings but i think she is scared if what it’d mean.
