Why do people act like it’s weird a woman doesn’t want kids? Then they’ll tell her she’ll have kids one day?

Well, it is often a function of age. Your profile says 18-24, and your reluctance is totally understandable, as were most ladies of my age (when I was that age).

But time passed, and by 28-34 they were usually trying, and by 38-44 some were even *crying* because they couldn't have any (more).

Now I know it's not for everybody, believe me, but just saying what I have experienced.

Because from observation that’s usually what happens. The women who do stick to saying such things are usually the ones who can’t find a partner so rather then get hurt by the truth that no man wants to be w them, they say things like that as their excuse to what the real truth is. A lot of the times it’s older women, not 100%. Look online at home many women have posted about being a certain age w out a man, a family, kids, etc. After a while many of them start oh insecurity lied to them about being Ms independent, that we can do everything like men only to find out they don’t want that. They want kids. They want a lineage. They want grandkids coming over, spending the holidays w them. You’re still young if that’s what you’re thinking. There’s a really good chance your mentality will change after a while.

A woman saying she doesn’t want kids hits a cultural nerve, and people often react in ways that are more about their beliefs, fears, and conditioning than about you.

People who question a woman's choice not to have children often hold traditional beliefs that motherhood is a universal or mandatory female role. Telling a woman she will "change her mind one day" dismisses her autonomy and assumes her current feelings are temporary or incorrect. It's not weird, it's just very telling about a woman. It's the equivalent of a guy deciding he doesn't want to be the primary income in a relationship if and income at all, doesn't want to protect her, doesn't want to to lead, etc.

Bottom line you can CHOOSE not to follow the typical expectations set for your gender. And men also have the OPTION of NOT choosing you because of it.👍💯
