Its the little things a lot of the time with actual thought put in to it. I have heard stories how its not a good idea to buy your girl something expensive once a year and then think your good. Just spontaneous thoughtful gifts is much better. From my experience as long as its a genuine gift its appreciated. You will know what your girl likes after all and the best gifts are spontaneous ones.

For example one of my favorite gifts I got her I saw while watching a youtube video, it was some youtubers merch. But the symbiology of the shirt fit her perfectly, and it fit the theme of me just wanting her to be herself and loving her because of who she was. So I told her about the shirt and how much I thought it fit her, she liked the shirt. I asked her which of the colors she'd want it in and then bought it for her.

Or another simple gift were games I personally really enjoy during a time she was discovering gaming. She liked my taste in games so she wanted to try some to. So I gifted her games she could play based on what I observed she liked.

So for me its always been a spontaneous, oh I think you'd really like this let me get that for you. And never a gift for the sake of gifting her something outside of maybe her birthday or our anniversary.

I get happy when he gets me something that shows he knows me. For example: My favorite chocolate. Or if I've been craving a specific type of noodles for days/weeks, and then one day he randomly gets me it. It's the small things that matter. The feeling of being heard and that he actually listens to you and understands you. A gift should be fitting and personal, no matter how cheap or expensive it is :) Show that you know them and want to get to know them even more.
