I was at my girlfriend's house (alone). We watching a video and making out. She had to go the washroom. 15 minutes later or so I heard something crash in the bathroom. I got worried and went to the washroom. I found my gfwas pass out on the floor and vomit in the toilet. I almost called 911 when she started getting up. She said she been doing this for a month now after I told her she eating too much. Is this my fault?

tell her you liked her as she is, but you only wanted her to be better and better as much as she can for herself not only you.

and as you were able to make her feel guilty about how she looks you should convince her she is okay and pretty good in this weight.

and just tell her eat more healthy foods and to stop junk food and fried food she would be great. and it doesn't mean she is fat when she is eating too much, there is just those people who have high metabolism and they eat too much but don't gain weight !



and keep on motivating her, like for example say you did lost weight you look sexy in this dress, I like how you look like over all.

and you would have to go see a doctor to know to what extend her medical case reached.

A month is still okay, there is no much worries at all. I' m pretty sure she would be okay!

and you asked "is this my fault?", No, not at all. its clear that she got the feelings of guilty towards her look and once you said you eat too much her conscious just increased and she started doing that!

you probably gave her a complex...i am not blaming it on you but when guys tell girls... "your're getting chubby" or "your eating a lot lately" and stuff like that it really gives us a complex that if we don't do something about it then you are not going to like us anymore... you need to explain the situation to her and tell her you are sorry and she made need help with self esteem issues or wanting to be accepted issues... she may need to see a counciler and I am sure if you went with her it would be very supporting for her. You need to tell her that you love her the way she is and you don;t want her to change anything but if she also wants to lose weight for herself not only you then you two should start working out together the healthy way that way you both are improving yourself so it doesn't seem like she is the only one that needs to... the thing you have to understand with girls is that the simpliest comment as "your eating a lot lately" could lead us to very dangerous situations.

no its not your fault, she already probably had eating issues, no one will just start vomiting because someone told them they ate too much. But if she has people commenting on her eating allot she most likely just felt more insecure about herself. I started throwing up, my dad always says are you eating again? jockingly but it would upset me even if I didn't show it, and it totally wasnt why I started it but just it didn't help when I was already feeling self conscious about myself. ,and looking back I wasnt fat at all, and I didn't do it to lose weight, it just felt so much better after throwing up like I got rid of the food in me, like I had the power to do that. anyways, just don't make comments about how much and what she eats she is sensitive about that issue, and support her so she stops doing it, its not healthy the longer you do it the harder it is to stop.

yeah id say its your fault... at least partly. I mean she should be smarter than that but ur her Boyfriend and what you say has a lot of importance to her. So be conscious about what you say because ur hurting her feelings and with girls that's a huge thing. They aren't like a brick wall like most of us guys. We are able to suppress A LOT. Much more than women can for sure. its jjust our physiology but we all have our limits. besides you should love her for her.. not if she looks like a model or whatever but if she gained like 10-20 lbs in a month or two or something yeah, id be concerned for her and talk to her what's going on? because that's not healthy but saying she's getting fat and leaving it like that is uncool. :/

Obviously what you said to her meant a lot. The lesson is be careful what you say. My mom told me once, that 'everyone does not need to hear your opinion or personal thoughts.' It's not your fault that she has low self esteem and is bullemic. She probably just heard a confirmation of her negative self thoughts about eating. Young girls have a lot of body image issues. It's tough out there for young women. You can try to give her support and recommend that she seek help from a professional. Maybe you should try to not judge her so much about her eating, weight and physical image. Honestly you shouldn't have said something like that to your girlfriend.

It's not your fault that she picks up an eating habit tho. She does need help before she gets too sick. And you, you've got some damage control to do. You gotta make your girl feel beautiful again. All I can say is Good Luck and I mean it. Guys have an ego that gets bruised but with females.. damage has been done and you are the only one that can fix it.

I don't think its your fault. But make her feel more secure. If she is losing color in her face and skin then she is inducing vomit. You need to stop her from doing that. The best way to do so is to make her feel sexy. Remind her of the things that turned you on about her. Make sure to stick by her side for at least an hour after each meal. bulimia isn't anyone's fault; I know, I had it. however, some things can be very triggering. make it clear to her that you're there to support her and you want her to be happy with herself. if she keeps up the behavior or starts losing weight, I suggest seeking professional help.

Quite clearly, she has an eating disorder and there's no such thing as a 'mild' eating disorder.

She seems pretty far along. This can be fatal.

She needs medical attention NOW. Take her to her doctor. If she won't go, call her parents or her best friend or even the police, or all three. She may not like it but she'll thank you for it later.

It's not your fault but you did help a little bit. But she's taking it to the extreme. She already had issues and that may have pushed her over the edge. But a simple, albeit rude, comment from a boyfriend isn't going to make a girl start being bulimic if she didn't already have eating issues already.

Yikes... Of course it had something to do with what you said - but I don't think it would be enough to go head first into an eating disorder. It takes a lot over time to finally decide something like that - I'd know. You need to reassure her that you like her how she is and that she doesn't need to put her LIFE in danger.

Generally it's a good idea you tell a girl how great she looks and that she doesn't need to lose any weight to be perfect to you. Just make sure you let her know she is beautiful as she is. This isn't your fault, but you can help her stop.
