Need some help, did she fall asleep or ignore me?

OK so I've known this girl for awhile but just started really talking to her and getting to know her for a couple weeks. Mostly over text because under normal circumstances we don't see each other that often. Last night I was texting her and we were joking around and having a lot of fun and I said we should hangout sometime, about 20 minutes went by and I didn't get a response (has happened a few times before and just sending another text carries the conversation on as usual) so about 20 minutes later I sent another text basically same thing but in question form this time something like "i think it'd be fun what do you think?" and no response to that one either. So I don't know if she didn't like the idea and didn't want to deal with it right then, or maybe she just fell asleep because it was getting a bit late, about midnight. My question is what's a girl do/say if she doesn't want to hangout? And should I text her and ask about if she fell asleep or what she thinks again? And if so what would be a good thing to say.. I'm a bit confused about how to go about it, and I like her a lot and I think we would both have a lot of fun too. Anyway any advice would be great, thanks!

My only question to you would be have you actually hung out before and how did that go? She might have actually fallen asleep (ive done that a couple of times) or this may be her way of trying to get out of giving you a response because its not going to be one you want to hear. I'm sorry if that's the case, but if I were you I woud leave it alone for a day or so and if she doesn't txt you first then you can txt her but act like nothing has happened and kind of gauge her response when you txt her, she may just be nervous so wait to see how she responds to you and if you have a good feeling about it then maybe you try and invite her to hang out with you and your friends (or mutual friends if you have any). That's usually a really good way to hangout and break the ice without that nervous first date feeling.

Thanks! Yeah we hung out before but with a group of friend, and I think it pretty good I had a lot of fun for sure and she said she did, seemed like she liked me at least as friends.

If this happened twice in one night I doubt she fell asleep. It sounds to me like she is just avoidiing the conversation completely by not responding at all, which I find immature. The girl seems to like you enough as a friend though so maybe she is not responding because she is unsure.. she doesn't want to say no because she might like you and vice versa.. The only way to find out for sure though is to call her.. Since you two text alot, having an actual phone conversation should not be that much bigger a step. Go for it, and this way she can't ignore your question. I think you should forget completely about the falling asleep theory. Ask her as if it was the first time you were doing so because bringing that up might be kind of akward.

Hey thanks for the feedback that's a good suggestion, btw though I didn't mean she had done it twice that night I just meant she had on other occasions not responded to just regular conversation and in those cases I just sent another and it went on regularly so I didn't think she had been doing it on purpose. But it is a bit convenient this time.. lol, another thing though if I've never called her before would she think it was weird? should I maybe txt and ask if she minds if I call her?

I think you should just call her without texting before hand. If you text it gives her the option of saying no, and though I doubt she'll do that for the sake of not being impolite, then what are you going to do? If you want and if this IS the case, you can tell her that you just like phoning better than texting because its more personal, and that you'd like to do so because you think you two can become great friends. Another thing, I don't know if you would want to do this, but you could just

Just invite her to see a movie as friends without implying that you want anything more. The fact that you only want her as a friend could make you more attractive, beacuse she wouldn;t have you so she would want you. If you want to be more straight forward though, just phone and tell her that you like her and that you want to hang out to see if it could work out. Just be very casual about it all so you don't come on too strong =P
