Girls, what does it mean when a girl is dry in replies but reciprocates and also sends pictures of what’s she’s doing at the moment out of the blue?

I’ve had a vacation fling overseas and can’t tell if I’m overthinking or coping. She’s speaks a different language so we both translate to conversate yet her replies are dry. We chat every 2-3 days, I tend to initiate conversation 75% of the time which I do not know if it’s cause she’s not interested or she knows I’ll start the convo, yet she’ll send me pictures of her with her girlfriends or whatever food she’s eating via What’sApp out of the blue

You should try having more phone/FaceTime conversations if she’s someone you’re interested in pursuing things with. In general texting gets old after a while, conversations can get repetitive and/or you run out of things to talk about and ask each other. Once you add trying to carry on these conversations through translation, which doesn’t exactly interpret comments as intended, I would imagine things become stale.
