(Serious question, read description) How normal is it that girls jokingly slap each other's butts?

Let's keep some thing in mind: First, no, im not trying to sound like a creep; Second, i know it's nothing sexual, it's just a joke.

So, what happens is that i quite often see girls jokingly slapping other girls butts, so what im asking is how normal is it that girls do that, because i like creating fictional characters and stories (im not a professional or anything), and i'd like to know if you girls find it normal enough for it to be a gesture within fictional characters. I guess i'd like to hear specially from the girls who are in friend groups who has this joke.

Fairly normal, not like a constant thing where everybody does it all the time, but it happens in certain friend groups, I think it is more likely if you are involved in flirty behavior with guys, or are teasing someone about liking a guy, or if there is alcohol involved but, it can be for other reasons or basically no reason also. It happened more when I was college age, then it was probably something like every week or two, vs now it is more like every six months or something like that. Let me think, the last time I did something like this I was last fall, we were leaving a football game going to the car and I was riding my guy’s back, piggyback, and kicked my girlfriend’s butt when I noticed my foot was in the right place to do it. Why did I do it, I don’t know just horsing around being funny.

It's not an everyday thing but can happen sometimes. For example, if a friend was wearing something that made her butt look nice, it would be appropriate to jokingly slap it and complement her.
