Look even a bad relationship was still one time a good relationship and should still be treated with respect and civility. You should both act like adults and try to communicate. If she left you without explanation I would've just crossed her off as a piece of scum you don't have to worry about anymore, she's just a harmless ditcher. But she not only did that, she went around telling lies about you, and that is so much worse.

I don't think she ( or he ) needs to provide a PowerPoint detailed presentation as to why they actually left , they not reasonable.

The other issues , are open to interpretation, but in this example we are only hearing one side , so all is subjective.

No, if what she's saying is FAKE then she's doing a bad thing. If she just walks away, then fine. Any dispute between them should stay private. AT WORST they can share with a spiritual advisor (Matt 18:15-17) to help mediate before deciding whether to walk away or work things out.

I think it depends on the situation. I would consider in most cases its rude. I would at least tell the person that I dont want to see them anymore. I dont owe them an in-depth explanation as to why Im leaving, but at least a "I dont think this will work out" is sufficient enough. I will say in some cases ghosting is excusable, especially if safety is a concern.
