I do not let my friends borrow things and I do not give them take my personal things, but for birthdays or New Years, I might buy them gifts, and they also buy me gifts, or if they do me a lot of favours for free, I might give them some money or some free meals when we hang out.

Like I got a female friend some Starbucks desserts because she gave me a ride to work when it was too late for me to take the bus to work, since my shift began almost immediately after the phone call telling me to get to work that day.

Never. I find it unhygienic, especially when it comes to personal items like clothing or makeup. Everyone has their own standards of cleanliness, so I prefer to keep my things for personal use only.
