Why is this coworker acting so hot and cold toward me after our argument?

Girl and I used to get along super well she asked if I was single would playfully push me and blush when people said she was my wife her friends were super nice, then we had an argument where she stared at me 24/7 and gossiped her friends avoided me and were not happy, months later we both apologized and then on my birthday she viewed my LinkedIn of all things even though everyone else at work was normal and said happy birthday, I found this creepy behavior and blocked her then I left the department now she always looks and stares when I’m near her and her friends are super nice again which is weird?

As for love it’s in the air & when it comes to your work wife like a roller coaster after an argument or disagreement on the job things can get a little weird even after an apology. Some say love is blind & in this case the blind one is you & clearly she likes you. As for the moment you thought was a little creepy it could be something different entirely. It’s possible she wasn’t sure when your birthday was so she looked it & wished you a Happy Birthday after. As for her friends being super nice anything is possible & it’s possible she’s trying to slowly get back into your life again & being that you left the department I’m sure she misses you & that is why she stares at you because she wants to get a good look at you.

Women, especially young women, do not argue well. They can be petty and vindictive. Especially with other women. They avoid accountability like the fucking plague. And gossiping behind the back of the object of their humiliation is a standard tactic to "get back" at their perceived tormentor. So don't take this too hard. It's pretty much a "normal" response from a woman.

Now she's cooled off, probably feels like a fool, but will never admit it. There's that accountability thing again. So she's awkwardly stumbling around adjacent to you hoping you'll make the first move to start talking again.

My advice? Take the gift she gave you and leave her in the rear view mirror. She has shown you who she really is.
