I’m good friends with this older lady we known since we both came here anyways we got this new coworker recently and me and this girl clicked really fast and get along well anyways she mentioned how the older lady I’m friends with told her earlier when she just came that I tell others stuff so be careful with her instead Stick with another girl coworker ( whom she friends with ) would that make y'all mad that you’re soo called friend is saying that behind you’re back?

There are various levels of that. I might say a person was from this state originally. Or I might disclose something more personal. Somewhere along the line we draw a line that we judge as OK.

The older woman might have a different line to you.

Yes we do all gossip to some degree. And we wouldn't think much about saying X has a partner (cause that is public knowledge) but we could think it inappropriate to say X has a friends with benefits.

Mostly I am trying to think out why this older woman is simultaneously being friends with you and warning another girl about you. It does seem inconsistent.

It could be this older woman is manipulating the new girl and you. If you haven't been inappropriate in talking of others than I'd think the older woman is playing games.
