Why do women color their lips?

Personally I always thought the normal lip color was the best looking but I know they don't do it for men, although I do wonder why they do it foreal? Do they just like leaving lip stains everywhere? 😂

The tradition goes back to ancient Roman prostitution. Women colored their facial lips to remind men of their vaginal lips in order to signal that they were sexually available for a fee.
Modern lip coloration is directly related to that exact ritual.

My natural lip color is fine. But when I put makeup on the rest of my face and don't wear lipstick 💄 it looks like I forgot the lipstick. It adds some color to my face.
I just wear the lighter shades of pink 🩷 and peach.
No red lipstick 💄 for me!

Alright so the difference is that the lip liner is for the lip contour but you can also use it on the actual lips as well in order to make the color last longer and after that you can apply the lipstick that is for the whole lips also there are lipsticks that do not stain as well and they are usually a bit more pricey

Yes outlining can make them look slightly bigger and it is also good as a base for blending and it helps with defining shape and symmetry
