Why are girls obsessed with taking pictures of themselves?

You go to a girls Facebook and there are a load of pictures of themselves with different poses. Its like every girl wants to be a model now days. Self obsession is a disease.

I never did that I just take pictures of myself when I am in a new place or with friends that I don't see So much...

I usually post more food photos on My Fb and My friends seems the same, go figure ... We are all in late 20's So might be the reason ...

Well I do take pictures of myself for fun. Sometimes I want to see how a new style or makeup or hairdo looks. Sometimes I am just bored and I find photography fun. Sometimes I want to see how other people can see me.

But I don't post them. I usually just delete them. I find posting them to be a bit narcissistic. But if you don't post them it is really just an extension of looking in the mirror.

lots of girls are like that :P I don't think its a bad thing. on my Facebook I've only taken one photo of myself >> all the others were taken by other people... but I'm tagged in so many photos.

One thing you forgot to put in your question. 'Some' girls are obsessed with taking photos. I'm not like that at all. An I don't aspire to be a model either. I have one photo on my Facebook and that's so people can search me on there. OK BYE!

I only really take pictures of myself when I make a change to my appearance, like a new piercing or changing my hair color or something. Something noticeable. My pictures on fb reflect that pretty well, I think.
