Would you date someone who is colorblind?

I'm red and green colorblind.

Also, if the person you're dating is red/green colorblind would you trust them driving? Especially, at night.

I don't care if they are, it really doesn't make a difference to me.

Also it depends. If they just see the colors as black/white or as yellow or some other color than it wouldn't matter because all stop lights are built the same- red on top yellow in the middle and green on the bottom and that's how they'd have learned it.

I'm not sure if there's any other kind of color blind but yeah, if that was the case why would I care if they drove at night? Or drove at all. We can all read "Stop" and see signs so I doesn't matter to me.

And it don't feel it would affect the relationship at all so no biggie... Just don't let him buy clothes for me, hahahaha.

Yea I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Driving I wouldn't worry either - your eyes still relate stopping with the " top" light, and go with the " bottom" light.

I'd think they'd be a better driver because they'd have to pay attention a wee bit more since the visual color signal isn't there.

Yeah, but see thing is when it's really dark out. It's hard to tell when the background of the lights is black so it blends in with the night and when there are no cars around, I'm not never sure whether my light is green or red. Then, I have to look on the side traffic pole to know. It's too much work. Lol

Your eye's don't pick up on the light's flourescents? Even though you can't see the color, can't you see the brightness of the light to know if it's on top or bottom? It's hard to see how you see ha ha I'm thinking of the red and green light as appearing grey to you :P I'm probably wrong

It's the same brightness and contrast to me.. The color is yellowish brown.. It sucks not to able to see the true colors. -_-"

This would happen, I would stop on a red but when it turns green.. I forget to go cause it's the same color like it was before. -__-" So all these cars are honking.. Haha

Awwe lol - well you can always wait for the cars to start honking :P despite the contrast and yellow brown color - can you tell which light is on from the top of the signal to the bottom? Like if the lights red, can you see that the top circle is different (brighter,) than the two dark circles below them?

aww @ true colors. Well think of green as a bluer shade of yellow; try to imagine those two colors put together - green is a very earthy color, when I see it it reminds me of soil and nature

Red is more intense than green; when you feel alarmed, or romantic, or a little wicked lol - mix those feelings together and you get red :D

My ex boyfriend was colorblind. He said that you can still tell the difference between red and green they just don't look red and green in the way that normal people can see them. And he was able to drive fine.

Sure I would not mind. As long as they are a great driver and can see things alright at night. Color blindness varies.
