Shy and Reserved Girls: What signals do you give to a guy you're interested in?

I'm just wondering, whenever you are interested in a guy do you give away any signals? How do you behave when he's around? How do we know if you're interested?

Okay, listen (er... read) closely. It's all about body language. If a shy girl likes you, she will:

1. Pull and/or tug at her clothes or hair if she thinks you are going to talk to her

2. Move herself into your line of vision hoping that you will notice her

3. Stare at you until she thinks you are looking, and once she's caught once, she won't do it again.

4. She will slightly tilt her body toward you

5. When you are talking, she will be very uncomfortable. Keep talking.

6. It will probably take 400 years to get her past a one-word answer, and then she'll just spout out nonsense at a billion miles per hour for quite some time. Just keep at it, and you'll peel back all those layers and get to who she really is.

7. Okay, this isn't exactly a sign, but just a tip: NEVER ask a shy girl directly if she likes you. At LEAST not until you tell her first. And wait until step 6 is achieved first, you don't need her passing out. Lol...

Ok I never saw her doing 1 because when I approach its usually during the break between two classes (shes carrying her books and her hands are kinda full so she can't really pull and tug at her clothes) She does 2 (shes walking in front of me most of the time and I already saw get past me really fast then slowing down) 3 has happened once, I never really noticed if she does 4 but I'll pay more attention next time I see her. And For 5 and 6 when I talk to her she is almost inaudible

and doesn't really elaborate her answers (although last time I talked to her she started telling me a story that happened a year ago) So if she does most of your points I can say she likes me right? (I won't tell her before she tells me but I will approach her more often)

It definitely sounds promising :) But don't wait for her to make the first move or you'll be sixty before she admits to liking you. Ask her on a "date" like coffee, or something that she won't really be able to classify as an official date. Or a group thing, like bowling. Then you might find out sooner if she likes you.

Usually I will act the same as I do to other people. But I will sometimes make eye contact and be somewhat friendly. If you are friendly back, I will be more friendly until you ask me out if that happens. I don't think that you can really know if we are interested but you can just know if we are disinterested. If I am disinterested, I will ignore you most of the time, pretty much always ignore you or glare at you if I see you outside of class or something like that.

For me, the things that a guy should keep in mind:

I won't smile much either way

Girls are great at using their peripheral vision

If I like you, I am not gonna make any moves but I will react well-ish when you make a move.

Depends on the setting. The problem with us shy girls is we try our best to now show any interest cause we're scared so it's hard for you to decipher if we DONT like you or like you. I tend to get so nervous I don't say much and keep my distance and in turn look like I am not the slightest bit into the person... oops

The problem with being shy/insecure is that unless I'm 100 % sure a guy likes me I don't usually have the courage to show him any sines that I like him. So if he's my friend ill just act like a friend. And if I don't know him but think he's cute he might catch me glancing at him but I would never approach LoL. and that is why I'm single.

Laughing at your jokes even if they aren't that funny

Smiling a lot

Talking to you and expecting more than a short reply or seeming to be really into the conversation once again smiling and laughing in the conversation are big signals

I would pay more attention to him than others, like if its like in a classroom setting I would try sit next to him at times, play with his clothes or hair or something. Talk to him more than I would talk to others. Make a lot of eye contact with him, or sometimes I walk in his path way and give a little smile.

im a shy girl and when I'm talking to my crush I always smile alot, I might seem a bit awkward or nervous when I'm around him. Buh when were walking past in the halls and that I will notice him but avoid eye contact incase I blush. So yeah I tend to ignore them actually but if you talk to her does she seem nervous or that, that's probably the only thing that would give me away.

Well like you she avoids eye contact, and she speaks very quietly and yes she does seem a bit nervous

Really big smile that my friend's refer to as the Fourth-of-July smile (yeah, that bad) if he talks to me. I'll glance at him and if he catches me looking quickly looking away and start turning seriously red.

I guess I'm quite shy but when I'm interested in a guy I tend to smile more and talk to him more. I suppose I fidget more as well but some girls might already do that so it isn't really an indication.

if she makes a lot eye contact

a lot smiling with no reason

trying to look good for you

...but if your feeling says that she likes you, you should go to her and tell her you like her.

She does make eye contact, but when I catch her she looks away or down. Also when I talk to her she's quieter than usual. I've seen her speak with other guys and she only is like this with me. I've seen her talk to other guys and she seems less shy :O
