@Hshsjsjsjs It depends but the same things you would be if it was reversed. If it's just physical, he might just be admiring your beauty. Or if he's actually into you, then he might be trying to gouge your interest back? Or how/if to approach? If you're single or not? Things like that. Especially for a shy guy. Or he might be trying to simply let you know he likes you and hoping you'll approach him. If you like him back, a good response is a nice smile.

@Hshsjsjsjs What do you mean? Just a nice smile. It'll show some interest back or at least that you aren't creeped out by him. Might give him enough confidence to at least come up and try to talk to you. Depending how shy he is. But it'll make him feel good regardless. You know if a guy you're looking at smiles at you, you feel good right? Same thing.

There are many videos on the subject but I am going to add my personal candor. If your asking because your interested in said shy individual , I can offer advice. For now here are some general tells. As for obvious signs , proximity do they want to hang our with you preferably alone? I saw staring on here in comments yes but its more eye tag. Example you stare away awhile then meet their eyes, where are they looking? Any guy no matter how "shy" will check you out if he knows its safe to do so you can provide an opportunity to see. Do they give you gifts or small gestures? Laughing at jokes that aren't funny to make a good impression guys and girls do this. Asking about relationships another sign. Any additional info is appreciated on situation in particular?
