Well I'd say because like 90% of the world everything to them is a double standard. They usually don't like to try things that aren't essentially "perfect" or exactly what they want. Which is the same reason you see a lot of girls who complain about how they can't get a good guy whilst their guy friends are waving their arms screaming pick me pick me. Most girls want an aggressive esque and strong male who also is witty,charming, loving, caring, and doesn't mind cuddling. To make it worse they don't tell guy friend #1, "ya know if you were a little more assertive I might notice you." They just keep dating douchebags. *sighs*

From my point of view, its what the anonymous girl user said, they just want attention.

They want men to pay attention to them because out of insecurity or narcissism Or both. When they get the attention they go " Ewww" Or "UGH , no thanks"

Then when all their female friends has dates/boyfriends, they feel left out and complain, so its a cycle of pure nonsense. Girls like that will remain single or if they get a relationship with someone , it won't last too long.

Most likely they're complaining because they're getting pestered with unwanted attention from guys they don't want while not getting hit on by the guys they want and can't find a man that meets their standards who returns the interest.

That analogy doesn't apply logically to me as unless with the food barring allergies/age the guy would be fed.

The guys aren't like food that barring a certiain exception would be sustenance to the girls.

Even if the girls accepted the guys she could just be wasting her time especially if she's not even attracted to them or find them suitable.

To me that's not sewing your mouth shut unless the girls have unrealistic or unattainable standards.

girls only complain about unwanted attention. when they say they don't get attention from guys, they mean they're not getting attention from guys they want. and they can't find a suitable guy aka one that they desire. unwanted attention from guys you don't want doesn't count

Some people are whiny bitches, both dudes and chicks. Don't judge everyone by the whiners -- I know plenty of guys who complain they can't get a girlfriend while they turn down girls they think aren't pretty or thin or social enough.

I view the above statement as, only creepy guys talk to me...There is a difference between a guy "hitting on" a girl and a a guy "flirting" with a girl. "Hitting on" has a negative connotation, it is done in the wrong way and not at all enjoyable for women.

Put yourself in the mind of a girl for a moment. You want men to be attracted to you physically, but only if you find the man attractive yourself.

Here's how it works in the girl's mind:

Attractive guy to the girl: Hi there.

Girls are much more about vibes and also to some degree, care about physical attractiveness in the approaching male.
