Why would a guy stare at you if they have a girlfriend?

My crush is in a long distance relationship but he always stares at me every time he see's me my friend says she doesn't think he's happy with his girlfriend :/ why would a guy do this?

That sounds kinda creepy.
Maybe he's just really contemplative and isn't actually staring at you, but just in your general direction.
Or maybe he does like you as well.
It's kind of hard to judge just based on knowing that he stares blankly at you every now and then.

If you want you could always bring it up and ask why he's staring, or tell him to cut it out if it's bothering you. Maybe he'll speak up about what's going on.

yeah I'll look then he will look down and once my friend caught him staring at me and he looked away but the other week I walked up to him and he but his head down and kinda smiled to himself

well I like him a lot but I'm shy so I'm not gonna but he always seems to split up with his girlfriend and then he will get back with her but he's the type of guy to stay faithful in relationships

If you're willing to wait, then voice your interest if they split again. Some guys have a hard time at catching on even with big hints, and if you're shy, it's more than likely a lot worse.

yeah I do want to wait but he's shy to and I don't understand why he's staring at another girl when he has a girlfriend because I didn't think he would be the type of guy to do that.

Usually the staring game is a semi means of flirting. While there can be other reasons, chances are that he's interested in one way or another.

Not necessarily, it's easy to lose sight when so much distance is involved and when you're fighting on and off. Not a lot of people can make long distance relationships work.

probably just thinks you're hot and is admiring the goods. A smile usually indicates more of an emotional connection, like you make him happy. No smile usually means he is just checking out, like any guy would towards a hot girl walking past him on the street.

Yeah that's odd, I don't even know what to say about that. If he looks at you and turns away to snicker and grin than yeah, he thinks you either look weird, did something weird, or he knows something about you that he finds funny.

he's shy. I do this with the girl I like too. I like to look at her (not in a creepy way) but I'm not confident enough to smile at her. he doesn't know whether you like him or not so he doesn't want to smile incase you don't return the smile. but he still enjoys looking at you.

yeah he's a shy guy but he's in a long distance relationship and he lives about 14 hours away from his girlfriend that's why I don't think he likes me

well if he's in a long distance relationship then he probably doesn't want to make a move on you because he has a girlfriend. but that doesn't mean he won't actually look at other girls. he's just got self control. hence, he looks at you but doesn't smile. maybe he doesn't want you thinking that he's attracted to you despite being in a relationship.

He's doing it because a guy is naturally going to look at a girl he finds attractive. The self control part comes in when he doesn't smile, meaning he doesn't want to do anything about it.
