Why does she tease me like this?

So there's this girl I've grown to like. She seems to enjoy talking to me but she acts differently when she is around me. She can joke around and talk to other people, laughs a lot etc. With me, its like she is always on her toes, she seems nervous and she teases me A LOT. She teases other people lightly and usually says "I'm kidding" right after, but she doesn't do it with me. Example,we were in a group and the topic of movies came up. She made a comment and say how everybody liked Forrest Gump. I said that I didn't (just to bug her) and told her she shouldn't go around making those kinds of generalizing comments and she said "well, you don't like it, its YOU after all" and I asked her "Well, what's wrong with me?" and she said "I would rather not answer that, it would take me hours to finish" she was clearly joking, but she always teases me like that, not that it bothers me, but with me she certainly uses "heavier" teasing, does she just feel more comfortable with me? if so, why does she act so nervous and quiet when we are by ourselves?

Well people are weird in general.. lol she sounds kinda like me to be honest. I think heavy joking is a form of over friendliness and flirting. Maybe although she jokes with you A LOT she may barely know you... and she probably doesn't think you like her so she can't honestly be herself around you hence why the silent treatment when your alone.. I honestly don't know... lol but do you like her and why are you asking are you just curious?

Well I guess the reason I like her is the way she is with me. She is smart and she gives me a run for my money when I decide to have a discussion about anything. She talks to other people and is pleasant in general and I've never seen her get into an argument lime se does with me. We know each other pretty well and we know our weak spots and buttons and all our friends think its funny how we argue because its like we have an scripted dialog but it all comes naturally, its just great

hm.. its hard to tell. I tease guys I like and don't like. I tease and flirt in general. but if she gets quiet and nervous that's a sign of interest.. but for me its the other way around. I get nervous if there are other people, but if its just him and I talking I play it cool and I'm comfortable (still awkward) but w/e

I feel from your description that she likes you. Sometimes girls make it heavier on you to cover her nervousness; but it also shows that its OK to be close with you so making it heavier on you.
