Why would an ex care if I hate him?

At least all my friends are asking if I hate him. Ex boyfriend has been asking them that. I was being rude and sarcastic in order to not like him anymore. I don't know why he would care. He has been saying hi kind of like trying to get my attention and asking me how I am but I kind of was all sarcastic. He talks to my bff on fb and she told me he asked if I hate him,that he said hi,and also that he still likes me and was thinking of asking me out...that is why he kept doing that. She told me he said for her not to tell me. But now he pretends I'm not there,assuming I hate him. He looks kind of pissed when he sees me like he doesn't want to talk to me idk.

Now my bff tells me that on fb he posted "you hate me Because I don't love you ***** please ;D" I don't know what I did. I don't hate him? My other friend said she saw it aswell.I think he was talking bout me because he's been asking if I hate him. Today I saw him and my friend (who ex hates,so does he) and I see him. I'm like Damnnnn he changed and he looked back at us and I'm like NO NO.WE WERENT TALKING BOUT YOU! and he flipped us off and my friend saw him and said his face turned hecka red? I was so shocked but then he kept lookin at us/me and I'm like We werent talking bout you and he's like Naw it kool (forgot what he said) and I'm like Did you flip me off? And he like Nope I flipped Tommy (friend he hates)

More importantly, why do you care? If you're working to get over him, stop worrying about his statuses. It doesn't matter if he thinks you hate him. If he wants to assume his ex doesn't like him anymore, you're over. Let him. Both of you need to stop assuming every word that comes out of each others' mouths (Or shows up on Facebook) is referring to you. You broke up for a reason. I promise you, getting back together isn't going to change that.

There is a lot of hate going around... I think he is acting this way because he still likes you and wants to get back together with you but was upset when you didn't react the way he wanted you to but if you have no intention of getting back with him he now knows it very well.

He might? my ex did the same thing treated everything like nothing and being sarcastic and rude, I think that's a very childish way to act. Maybe in doing so you made him hate you or at least have some anger towards you

I think at this point he just "hates" the fact of how things turned out.. so he's feeling guilty with the feeling of you possibly hating him ;)
