Holding hands with your guy friends?

Girls, would you ask a guy to hold your hand when your walking with him if you didn't have feelings for him?

In the past, I would have said no. But 6 months ago I started dating a guy who repeatedly reached for my hand to hold it. I thought it was so wonderful and sweet, thinking he was really into me. Unfortunately, I learned his physical affections had nothing to do with how he really felt about me. It was just a human contact thing for him. Being alone for so much of my life, this taught me a lesson that there is value in having physical contact with someone whether they are a romantic interest for you or not.

However, it would depend greatly on that friend. How close I was with them, how comfortable I felt around him, whether or not I suspected he had romantic feelings for me that I didn't feel for him.

I'd have to have feelings for him on some level to do that, but not necessarily anything serious; like maybe just a bit of a soft spot. Personally, I wouldn't hold a guy's hand for no reason if there was nothing in it though

I have a friend who holds hands with her guy friend, they both had smiles on their face. She did this to me and it took me off guard and had a smile. It felt uncomfortable cause I don't like her in that way just as a friend. I find it very misleading as I could the wrong idea but if she is playing games just to get me jealous then its not working.

weirldy enough.. I totally have before. there was this guy that liked me but I didn't like him back...i would ACT like I liked him because I was bored by holding his hand and cuddling with him. yes it was weird but oh well..

Definitely. My best friend and I will hold hands, link arms, etc. while walking around doing anything. We'll also like, sleep on each other and do really "couple-y" things. But everyone knows we're just friends. :)
