Help: Really weird dream about a guy I barely know...

I had a dream (actually a dream that recurred about 3 times), and in that dream, a guy (that I've seen only twice) is holding my hand but he swiftly lets go and leaving once we get to a certain spot then disappears until the next time we have class .

Here's the in-depth section of the dream:

I walk down the hallway from a class in order to get to my English class. As I am going to English, this guy named Dave (who I've only seen/met a few times) grabs my hand and walks about 3 minutes with me until we get to the end of a hallway that is an intersection of 3 different hallways.

As I make a left turn he lets go of my hand and when I look up to ask why, he is gone. When I go looking for him, I think that every other guy is him but I can never find him. But he always ends up coming back the next day to walk with me again.

What does this mean?

You're imagining a future with him, but at the same time you have a fear of rejection. You can't think of a reason why he'd be with you, or why he'd leave...

But you know that you'd feel comfortable walking along hand in hand with him.

Maybe you're going to English because you want to be able to communicate with him.

Because it's so hard to find the partner you want, you see him everywhere towards the end of the dream. You've reassured yourself that he will find you the next day (if we're still talking about being inside the same dream).

I like the way you feel comfy with Dave. I'm not sure about him in particular, because you've only seen him twice. You're open to a relationship, though, and you know the guy will find you because he is different from the crowd.

Pay attention to your surroundings, maybe you've met the real version of the dream boyfriend, and you're just waiting for him to make the first move. Don't go running around testing every boy you see. Wait for him to come to you. I often have dreams that are eerily close to what happens that day. I think it's because our minds catch patterns we don't process consciously, and our subconscious gives us a hint of the possible outcome of little things it's picked up while we are awake.

Maybe if you're not talking in the dream, and you're going to a language center in your mind (the English class) that means you feel that you'll be challenged to communicate with whoever Dave turns out to be. link

Well the Dave guy is actually a guy I've met in real life (by met I mean we saw each other and waved a few times). I know his name because he plays on a summer high school basketball team that I manage. I don't know how much he knows about me or how he feels about me. I actually like one of his teammates and I don't have any romantic feelings for him (he is attractive, just not my type). So does this have any significance?

Yeah, that means maybe you're assigning him as the Generic Good Looking Guy. And when everyone else looks like him, and he just kind of appears and walks you down the hall, maybe you're exploring your opinion of the dating/mating cycle. How do you feel about dating, is it something you want to do, or hate the concept of?

My interpretation is that you're expecting a guy to come from the crowd of impossible to read good looking guys, and hold your hand.

Next time you dream it, see if you can talk to them. Or let go of his hand and grap another guy's hand, and talk to him instead.

If you want to meet guys to talk to, try one of your interests for an intramural activity. Join the yearbook team or newspaper, or school television. Maybe acting. All are language intensive.

But we just can't do it - I'd go to jail, we'd have to wait for you to turn 18 for the conjugal visits, and then everywhere we lived we'd have to go around the neighborhood to tell them why I'm a registered sex offender.

wow your dream is just like some movies so mysterious.maybe it's a cue that sth will happen to u.i purpose you can try to know more about that guy and perhaps you two have similar dream or you will have a similar experience in real life.
