A guy needs to feel sexy and wanted just as much as a woman, but too often that seems to get lost on women, especially in long term relationships.
If your guy comes on to you and you push him away, unless you have a major emergency that prevents you from accepting his advances, you`ve just levelled a serious blow to his ego.
If your guy has to come and ask you to have sex with him 1) you`ve obviously pushed him away too many times that he now feels the need to ask rather than risk just going for it and getting hurt, and 2) it`s already been too long since you last made an advance at him, and 3) his ego is already significantly damaged.
I get that women don`t always have the same drive as men to do it all the time, but even if you`re not in the mood, remember that he probably is (we always are), so give him a quick HJ or better yet a BJ, the next time you`re caught in traffic or a commercial comes on or something, to let him know you still have the hots for him.
Do that and he`ll have the strongest ego on the planet...it really does just come down to sex for us...we`re weak.
...besides while you`re giving his ego a pick-me-up, it might even get you going and in the mood for a ride! Win-Win!

Seeing my family hurt and not and being powerless to "save" them. Men tend to carry the burden of taking care of their family, so for example not having enough money to have food in the house for the kids, or not being able to pay to send them to college. Things like that would really eat away at me.
Telling him/ making him feel that he's a loser that can't provide for you (e.g. he has a sh*tty job) ...telling him past lovers penises were bigger than his/ better in bed. those pretty much do the trick
