What are some dead giveaways that a girl likes you?

There is a girl that I like and I think she likes me but I ain't got the guts to ask her out yet. basically I'm asking if there is any way to tell that she must like me?

also wondering if these are good signs:

She initiates contact on text, she says we should hang out, she just today asked me if there is anyone I like, she uses a lot of lol's and :) 's in her texts, she says she enjoys talking to me

I realize this is kinda pathetic but thanks for the help.

There are no *dead* giveaways. Girls are very reluctant to make the first move, and any dead giveaways would be tantamount to making the first move.

So they never do anything more than the same things which they would do to a guy that is just a friend.

Here's what you do. Stop worrying about signs. If you like her, ask her out. If she says yes, great. If not, it'll sting a bit, but at least you won't waste time pining after a lost cause.

You say you don't have the guts to ask her out. But you should. It's not a massively scary thing to do. It's just a date. Just a question. Just ask.

She probably likes you. I lol a lot when I'm talking to someone I like. Girls will think whatever a guy say is funny if she likes him. Well not everything but mostly. If she replies to your texts promptly is another good sign. When a girl says 'we should hang out' is already a good indication she wants you to ask her out. Only difference is whether she is essentially a social creature who likes hanging out with friends in general. Either way, try asking her out. You'll find out then from her body language if she really like you or treat you as a friend only.
