Guys what do you think of 'gothic' girls?
Ones like THIS...I think if done right it's really pretty :)
The girl in the first link would look better with her other contact in, but I wouldn't object to seeing her in person..
The second link - THAT'S A GIRL?!?
The girl in the third link looks like she is about ready for audition for the sequel to Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
I like the girl in the sixth link the best on so very many levels. If you can pull off that look, you'd be the belle of the ball. I so totally wish my sweetie could do that. I have dated a couple of Bat Girls. Rowwwwr!
The rule of Goth is that if you plan to dress Goth, you are not Goth. I've been around the scene since the late 80's.
Very true to your last little statement. If are that way it just happens, style can't really be forced. The model for the 6th link is kayleigh on deviant art. She's one of my favs, however I think countess grotesque (the 4th link) will always be my #1 fav.
My opinion solely, Countess Grotesque is trying too hard with her hair color and makeup in that picture - thus that last statement. Kayleigh looks totally natural, and minus the collars she could even dress like that going to work (but I love the collars!).
I've been following her work for a while and seems pretty genuine and has a wide variety of looks. I picked that picture in particular because it fits the stereotypical 'goth' image that I figured would be associated with the question. Everyone has different tastes though
@konnor I have no idea if it's a dude or chick (normally I don't even need to think about it). Either way it's a good example of poor makeup styling that is often associated with the gothic scene.
That second picture is what I always envision when someone calls me a faggot on the internet.
It's vitally important and good that you segregated the failures from the good ones, as gothic style is extremely easy to be totally messed-up but hard to be made neat!
I like this, one the most, corsets are a turn-on and black goes very well with red! ..but I'm not a fan of piercings..
She's my all-time favorite model! And yeah I wanted to make sure people understood I meant fashionable gothic, the majority that is seen on the street is crap unfortunately.
Her name is Countess Grotesque, and her deviant art account has the most pics. :) also you're welcome.
I agree with Konnour. I just feel like the piercings are a bit extra.
Grotesque? Not in the least!
Goth girls CAN definetely be hot, but what the should not do is shave their eyebrows and then draw a line there, that has always repulsed me.
But I have always had a things for 'the darker looking girls'. I myself wear corsets and black leather and I have got brown hair a little longer than my waist, but I don't like to wear a lot of make-up and don't listen to gothic music (I prefer metal). But sometimes, I look a little gothic and always liked that look.
So yes, if done right it can be really really gorgeous and mysterious as well, which adds to the appealing look.
The ones in the first line up don’t really look goth to me, more depressed and trying to find something to label themselves with.
The other two look amazing but I would sincerely like to give the first three a big hug. ☺️ Not saying that everyone who is goth is depressed, but the “good” examples look confident, artistic and healthy.
I like goth done right, and I have noooo idea how they pull off those outfits and fishnet stockings without looking trashy. If I were to wear that, it would only be a matter of time before someone asked me how much I charge for a night.

I’m not really into the caked on make up, tattoos, all kinds of piercings, spiked chokers look… They’re always trying to act like dark moody nonconformist, but they all conform to the same subculture. A lot of them are basically sad hipsters that want to be vampires. When it comes to the occult I’m more of a Constantine than a Count Dracula… But at it’s core it’s all about music right… While I’m sure I can find some songs I really like in the goth subgenres if I look hard enough it’s not what speaks to my darkness… Their darkness sounds like this:
While my darkness is is a little more like this:

I just want to point out that emo and goth are two very different styles. These pictures are all varying degrees of goth style, but I just think it's funny they're named emo.
Also, I can't really see most goths going out in those extreme outfits except for like special occasions, but I could be wrong. Me, I tend to stay on the more conservative goth side though.
I love the last one. As often as I can, I dress...in a similar fashion. I wish I had more money for clothes.
Ah. I'm not goth, though. I have similar interests, but I'm clueless about the music and the subculture doesn't piqué my interest nearly enough.
I think they are desperately seeking attention and are usually alienated and lonely..I feel sorry for them and try to cheer them up, although most are pretty hostile to anyone trying to get close..
I've met the attention seeker types you're talking about- no one likes them not even in the alternative community. As a whole though I don't think the majority have hostility/trust issues, or at least not anymore or less than a 'regular' person, or at least that's been my experience.
Well, you have a point, distrust is widespread everywhere, and I'm not any sort of expert..but my feeling is that the goth girls are just a little MORE hostile and lacking in trust..
It depends on what style you like... the subculture has many different veins.
Like you got the trad/ deathrocker which have more 80s post punk vibes and then you got romantic /Victorian which can be more elaborate yet- still be under the same umbrella.
I used to be into it, especially since I've been into some particularly outsider stuff in my time, but now it seems to me like you're trying to hard. I'd rather a low effort casual look. If you can pull of cute with jeans, hoodie and no makeup then I'm sold. Easy game.
Too much make up.
The BIG PENIS story of how I realised that not all men are created equal and that size matters. ↗
I don't know some are hot, but I also think there would be a major change in personalities, opinions etc. They may have some serious issues or baggage also. I know some kind of gothic girls that are pretty cool though.
The ones I know are pretty fun and just like regular people. They just have a little extra quirkiness to them
Are the guys on here attracted to the style these girls are wearing, or are they attracted to how pretty the girls wearing these styles are? Hot girls can pretty much wear anything and still look pretty hot.
I like the last one, but the others are all out for me. As another guy on here said, I don't like the piercings, (I know you do, but that is my feeling about it.)
Well like I told the other guy- different tastes :)
I think that they can be just as hott and as beautiful as any other girls. It is a personbal decision on their part to be like that, so it really does not bother me. In fact, I like the rebeliu and indeendent way that they express themselves
The good ones I think it's more creative expression than anything, which I find attractive.
Hell in highschool I used to love the scene girls just because they were so against the norm.
Dated a goth who did not go overboard with trying to look a certain way. It was more about how she carried herself & thought about the world. Similar to other women I think.
I mean.. I stopped my interest for twilight long ago so I am not a fan of vampires anymore. I dont find it beautiful but its their bodies they do whatever what they want to.
I agree. But those are all models in a professional photo shooting. Every style will look cool if done by models in a professional photo shooting.
It's true the bottom 3 are professional models, However I couldn't find any regular pictures of girls with that type of makeup and clothing. I've seen it in real life, but couldn't find pictures of it.
Lolita fashion is similar, and you should be able to find lots of pictures of regular women in Japan dressing in it.
I see a few goth girls where I live. and they're always really attractive.
Even when I was younger, I never thought About approaching one, though, since we have absolutely Nothing in common.
I love myself some proper gothic ladies 😍❤️ its as you said, it is really gorgeous if done right ^^ both of the two girls in the last picture could easily have played Bloodrayne the vampire ❤️😍
I want to start dressing goth in a subtle way like Amy Lee. Problem is, I don't know where to find that kind of clothing. I love Amy Lee's style.
The majority of my wardrobe is bought online, or resale shops. I like goodwill and salvation army because you can buy ordinary stuff and modify it (add lace, tears, other material, etc) and if you mess up its no biggie you only paid $2 anyway!
As long as they don't have piercings and tats I think they are super hot. I love that pale, porcelain skin look with the dark eye shadow and lipstick look.
The last one looks like an elf!
Also quick question, if being emo/ goth you put white face stuff on, what if a black girl is emo? Does she put white stuff on her face, or just lighter brown stuff to make her look paler?
Black people aren't exactly drawn to this kind of thing, but then they are they don't typically put on white face paint. They do like those colored contact lenses, though.
@HungLikeAHorsefly Oh okay.
