Why does garbage like 'Bob's Burgers' get on the air?

It is terrible, the female characters are voiced by men, it's not funny, and just really bad... so why does crap like this get made? I could think of a better concept in 5 minutes on the toilet.

i know, I have been wondering the same think, I wanted to give a shot but I couldn't get pass the first episode. Its poorly made, its gross and doesn't even have a good plot, so its one of those things that you will never understand I guess.

Because younger kids aged around 12-15 watch it I'd assume. My younger brother likes that show so its probably because of people like my brother who like it.

If people like a show then it'll continue, same reason why Jersey Shore was so long, a show doesn't have to appeal to everybody
