Why does a girlfriend say she's bored?

My ex girlfriend said she was bored and wanted to break up. She told me she knew everything I was going to say. She then told me that I am the most energetic and spontaneous person she knows. What a contradiction. Ladies what does this mean? Do I just need to be more aloof or silent to get her back or does she just want to be with other people?

Cool thanks for the headsup. I have been really aloof for a few weeks. She has called me a few times when she was sick or when her horsed died. I don't know if I should be ignoring those as well but I can't just be mean. I don't tell her I love her or anything just listen to her and then go about my business. I am trying to get back on at a fire dept. so I can volunteer again. I think doing that and other things will show her a lot. If not oh well, it's my life and it makes me happy.

It's not you it's her. People don't realize that relationships aren't always going to be full of excitement. Everyone looks for excitement when what they should be looking for is happiness. Don't change yourself to make it more exciting for her. She is the one missing out, she'll end up all alone because she'll go from relationship to relationship always trying to find a thrill. After a few months when the new wears off she'll be looking for something else. And just to warn you, a lot of times where they were happy, i.e. you, they will go back to that happy place as an in between while looking for something new and exciting. So be careful when she wants to come back.

People say just forget her and let her be wild and who cares if she never finds happiness. I'm not that kinda person. I agree with you that I do need to be careful if she does come back. I know that when we are together were sooo happy. We argue at times but who doesn't. If she needs to meet other people to see what she lost then fine. I would just hate the idea of her not being happy. I'm happy in a relationship because I believe you get out of them what you put into them. Love/Trust etc

honestly to me it sounds like you deserve better maybe you guys had fun or whatever but by bored she pretty much means that there is another guys that she wants to be with for the time being and when things don't go well for them she will come right back to you and weather or not you take her back is your decision but I think she will just do it again to you when someone else comes along and when she realizes pier all alone she will come right back to you so the choice is up to you Whatever you decide to do I have been through this before and the guy I did it to I'm with now have been for two and a half years so be careful and do what you think is right... "I have been through this before and the guy I did it to I'm with now" Are you saying you left your boyfriend for the same reason and now your back together? If so what was it that brought you back to him? I just don't want to miss an opportunity. I also don't want to push her away because she is scared of commitment.

It sounds to me that she probably is not interested. She has her eye maybe on someone else and is trying to break it that way. You should be with someone that is happy for who you are. Don't try to change that it will only create problems later when your tired of pretending. I would give her space and let her do her own thing. Let her figure out what she wants, but don't give her all the time in the world to make her mind up. Keep you options open to, who knows maybe you will find a girl more suited for you...

Thanks how do I react to random phone calls. i.e. She called me the other day because she was really sick and scared. Her doctor ended up saying she just had a bad allergy attack. I don't want to ignore those phone calls but at the same time she needs to know what she lost. Is she trying to get me back or just stroke her ego. She even told me that she wouldn't mind seeing me that night. I didn't go I was too busy, I just don't want some other guy coming in and making her feel better.

Do not answer every phone call. You can not be there all the time, nor do girls really want you to be. We also want to feel like we have won a prize that we had to earn. She probably wants to keep you close to know that she still has you with the random phone calls. She may just want to be assured that she is still wanted by you, even if the feeling is not reciprocated. Have fun with your own life, and that's when she will want to be more part of it
