What does the typical "elementary teacher" look like?

When I tell people that I am an elementary ed major they tell me that I look like an elementary teacher. What is that supposed to look like?

Well, I'm not sure anymore, but when I was growing up, the typical elementary teacher was...

- middle aged

-white female

- bra-less with her titties flopping all over the damn place with any sudden movement.

- plain attire

Maybe he meant you come off as an elemetary teacher because you sure as hell don't look like the "typical elementary teacher"! Maybe you have a patient vibe to you or you communicate really well

The girls I went to school with that became elementary school teachers are very clean cut looking. A lot of them dress like middle aged women and look conservative. Their hair looks regular, they don't wear noticeable makeup and they look sort of plain. Not necessarily pretty or ugly, just very natural and not really stylish

It could mean you seem nice, and you dress fun, while being professional. And, you give off an air of being good with children, maybe matronly? I mean, my mother's a pre k teacher, and I guess it's the way she dresses (she dresses professionally, but she wears comfortable shoes). So, it could be something like that.

I guess they just mean you look like a responsible woman who carried herself well, they may think you look respectable and professional.

My elementary teachers were young and cute, but were horrible at assigning a lot of homework and always made me look bad at parent teacher conferences.

I guess it was because we had like 70 students in every class. I guess it was just a way to keep us busy.

Interesting. I don't really know how to explain, but if those pictures are of you, then you do look good for a teacher. Elementary or some other, I don't know how to distinguish that in terms of looks.

Well hey, that's a compliment. The idea is that you look wholesome and healthy, dress modestly not much make-up, and giggle if some Italian guy pinches your rear.
