Teachers generally just manage their own classroom/students. When they log into their computer they see grades for students only for their own classes. That includes stuff like your student id which identifies you. If you have some sort of disability or are a second language learner stuff like that will be flagged so that they can treat you appropriately to accommodate you. Often teachers will request some sort of information sheet at the start of the year to get to know their students. Aside from that, the office/admissions keeps home records so that teachers can contact family to discuss your grades, discipline, mental health, etc. Generally that will be by phone conversation, but it can include teacher parent conferences on school grounds. If students have been suspend, teachers are notified so that they are not expected in class, and teachers can deliver school work for in school suspension or by email to parents. Teachers also often discuss their students with other teachers who have the same students. Tf they have some sort of learning disability the special education teachers often comes knocking to talk about this and that. Kids that have discipline issues usually have the head of security asking questions about the kid to make sure they are keeping their nose clean so that they can pass classes and graduate this year even though they may be like 2 years behind. Everyone at the school is trying to get you through the school system so that you can become an adult and move on with life. When you screw up a lot, then a lot of teachers talk about you to try to get you on the right path. When you perform well, most don't worry about you too much because you can manage your own life. If you do exceptionally well, then teachers often recommend you for advanced classes.

It depends on the teacher and the school district. Many times teachers will know if a student has some sort of plan such as a IEP, 504, IHP, and the list goes on. They will have access to those plans. They know your home address, what bus you ride, they can see your parents, they probably can see your grades from other classes, not only classes but grades going back to when you started in the district possibly further because of transcripts. So if you started in Kindergarten it’s very possible to see your teachers going back to even then, grades, what notes the teachers left, etc. I think they can even see what bus you rode.

It depends on the program I know of SIS (school information systems) which is a company.

There is also teacher gossip. Yep…. Teachers get together and gossip about students, parents, other teachers, etc. If people knew what some teachers talked about behind closed doors. You can forget the whole “I don’t have a favorite or least favorite student” ever existed. I’m not saying all teachers. Also there is a lot of toxicity sometimes between teachers.

But I’m getting off topic here, just assume your teachers know things about you. Sometimes they may have access to the system that sees into what’s going on in the network. Sometimes only administrators can see that kind of stuff. But I would never do anything on a school computer or on a school network you wouldn’t want someone seeing into.

That means don’t sign into personal accounts, don’t plug your phone into it and allow it access to anything in your phone, don’t connect your phone to the school Wi-Fi, don’t search things you wouldn’t want someone to see you searching, don’t even type something and backspace it out, just use your school devices for school related purposes and you’ll be fine.

I get a class list of my students. It gives me their major, if they are full time or part time and their home address.
