Hi! I just got out of a relationship with an emotionally damaged and or broken woman. Whichever you like to label it. From dating her over a little a year, she was seriously cognitively disassocaited. She is a single mom of 3 that recently ended a relationship with an ex who was very abusive emotionally as well as physically. My mistake, I dated her right after and she wasn't ready for a relationship by no means. She was married to her ex for a 10 years and from what she told me, she sustained a ton of abuse. Characteristics that she would display are catatonic to emotions (emotionless). She would stay quiet, overanalyze way too much when she was alone, easily agitated, always want to break up, I seriously think that after daring her, we broke up at least a dozen times. I know, I'm an idiot for going back lol. Never wanted to communicate and that's where we had the BIGGEST ISSUE. I seriously feel sorry for her and many women like this because they will never fully recover and they will continue to make more mistakes and not learn from their past and continue to deepen their broken heart. It's like Stockholm syndrome, broken women get attracted to jerks because that's what their used too. That woman and her kids are in serious need of lifelong therapy as they will never ever be fully recovered.
You never "truly" know. You simply feel off and seek answers, eventually to uncover what you hope is the answer. Sometimes you might get it wrong and spend thousands of dollars thinking that something was the problem all along, trying to remedy it, but then later you realize you love that part about who you are.
My advice is to simply ask yourself not what you want but what you need; we often get depressed because we don't live in a fancy house with classy friends, having a family all of our own with a spouse that's superb... But yet we fail to acknowledge the simple pleasures of life from all the mundane moments, like sitting in line at mcdonalds, i rarely see people look over and start a conversation because we are soooo busy with our days (or some other reason) and yet every time i've had a conversation with a stranger, even if it was a bad conversation, i still felt better about myself afterwards. Check out the movie "about time" if you want to see more of this paragraph in a visual manor that's easy to follow. Buen suerte bella
When I consider myself emotionally damaged, I usually feel bitter or feel nothing at all. I know then I just need to focus on me & keep busy. Work more, go to the gym, volunteer, all this stuff helps me feel better too
