Polls: Girl's Behavior

Today, I was in my 1:00 pm psychology class and my feet started to feel tired. So I slipped off my shoes and let them breathe. I wanted to put my feet up on the empty chair in front of me by since I normally wear dresses or skirts, I thought that would be a bit over the top. Anyway, I was taking note and notices a lot of the guys in my class staring at my stockinged feet (I wore black tights). There have been occasions where one or two guys, usually older men, would peek at my feet when I play with shoes on the bus, but not as many as I saw today. Is this normal for guys to stare at our feet? I understand staring at my legs, but I'm questioning staring at my feet...can any guys help?

For some, rejection is nothing more than a challenge. It inspires them to do more, do better, be more, be better, fight for something or someone. Rejection is the push they often feel they needed, a little extra incentive to get their lives together (or careers, or health, or even personalities). It gives them the drive to look inward, honestly, and make changes.

For others, rejection is pain. It's a verification of all they feel is wrong, it destroys their self-esteem, it mentally paralyzes them. They're embarrassed when it happens, and embarrassed to admit it later. After experiencing rejection multiple times, they start to develop a "victim" mentality, thinking that life is working against them in every way.

Because so many actually FEAR rejection, because it can hurt (of course), does that fear dictate our behavior?
Do we, too often, allow a fear of rejection to control our lives, to keep us from living to the fullest?

Does a fear of rejection dictate your behavior, personally?
Or are you part of that first group, who accepts the challenge rejection presents?

Sitting here looking at extreme gore has made me think, "shit, this isn't normal", despite some links getting nearly 3,000,000 views.
Some people would puke at the sight of some of the things I've seen today and in the past. Others would even pass out. Although they can sometimes make me feel ill, I still have the weird urge to see more.
I would never say I enjoy it, I find it more fascinating than anything and it makes you more accepting of death. When you hear someone's been hit by a train, that's all you hear so when you can actually see the damage a train can cause to a human being, it's remarkable. That may sound awful and heartless but I still care about the life that's been lost. I feel sympathy for how they must've been feeling to do such a thing.

It also opens to your eyes to how cruel and sick people can be. You come across twisted murders (sometimes with unusual stories), war photos and more which makes you realise that there are some really sick things going on in our world right this second but we're never told about it, though I can understand why.

Does anyone else look at gore? Do you ever question why?

Okay, let me preface this with the fact that this boy (lets call him 'Josh') is absolutely one of my best friends. He came out of a bat relationship with a nutjob around three months ago.
So, 'Josh' and I went to a convention over the weekend, and while I stayed with my female best friend 'Jess' on Friday night, my parents agreed to allow me to stay with 'Josh' and his parents and cousin on Saturday, so I could spend the whole weekend in Boston. We had loads of fun, and it was a great time. We went back to the hotel that night (as a side note, there were two beds) and his parents took one bed, while his cousin took the chair. They offered me the bed, and insisted, so 'Josh' was planning on taking the floor. After showers and whatnot, we were laying on the bed and watching YouTube on each others phones. We ended up basically cuddling, but because I like him a lot, I didn't really bring it up. Eventually it got closer, I guess? I ended up wrapped up in his arms, with my head on his chest. I don't know if he thought I was asleep, but he kissed me on the head, two or three times, and he touched my knee, acting like he was checking if it was okay. I fell asleep like that, and when I woke up, he still hadn't moved. The day after, we were joking about it a little bit, over text, and he mentioned it being 'very pale' which is a reference to a very platonic relationship. I felt like it was very romantic, and I have never done that with any friends before. I hinted that it wasn't 100% platonic and he seemed surprised. I don't know if it was platonic or romantic or what. And I really don't know what to do. I feel incredibly happy around him, and he is the only person who makes me feel safe, so risking our friendship isn't really an option for me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you think it's a good or bad idea to try to figure out your motives in the things you do or is it better to be ignorant?
