"We're only friends right now" what does this mean?

To sum it up:

Me and this girl had a CLEAR AS DAY "thing" going on between me and her. She really liked me and i really liked her

A couple misunderstandings which lead to an argument made her mad at me, now she's just like "We're just friends right now" whenever i make a strong flirty comment

Should I ask her what she means? or is this answer obvious and someone can tell me? thank you

I want to mention me and her are fine right now, no arguments and everythings cooled down, its just her "Friends right now" comment is what bugs me

I've done the same with my boyfriend now before we got together. We liked each other but I was denying my feelings. People would ask what we were because we would hold hands and sit close to one another and go on dates, things like that, but I would say we were only friends. I came around eventually, maybe she will too :) Just give her a bit of time!

We've actually never had a fight even now. But misunderstandings, yes. Even back during that time when I wasn't sure. I would agree to be with him and then I would overthink it and say no and it would go back and forth like that mainly. I think we both got confused a lot. If that makes any sense!

If you really want to then yes. In my opinion, I think the "for now" is a little indicator that she does want to be with you, but she's not sure if she wants to now or not. Maybe for personal reasons she hasn't voiced. For me, I was somewhat hung up over a stupid summer fling still but I eventually got over that. Not saying that's what she's going through lol but she could just be having some personal thoughts to sort through first.

cause her saying "we're friends right now"... the "right now" sticks out as something could change.

there's always hope, but body language plays a part in communication. So, i can't say for sure. This could be permanent and she just wants to be gentle about it

She doesn't know what she wants mate. My opinion is, give her time but don't expect much, so keep your eyes open for other girls.
