Was talking to this girl for quite some time now, everythings been perfect, minor arguments here and there but it's all good

she said to me today "im not in the right state of mind to date"

i outright asked her "do you mean it? or do you just not wanna date me?" and she said she meant it

so what does she mean by it and what do i do? i suppose she does have some interest still since she didn't reject me right there?

It sounds like she's having some harsh personal problems in her life right now and a relationship is something that she can't handle right now. Continue to talk to her on a friendship level. Let her know that you'll be there for her and she can always talk to you. This may show her that you're genuine about your feelings for her and when she's ready, maybe she'll want to continue where you two left off.

I see what u mean- it wasn't a very clear statement on her behalf.. But basically she's got something personal going on at this time in her life (could be health issues.. Anything). She may genuinely like u, but she isn't ready to commit herself for whatever reason. Just remain friends with her, and give her a bit of space :)

i think u should still be respectful and kind with her, it will make her trust u as time goes on and she will start forming feelings for u...we dont know what kind of personal problems she has, it could be family, money, drama, etc she could be depressed, u should respect her wishes and just let her know you're there for her if she would like.

It's a simple statement, very clear and easy to understand. She's not in the right state of mind to date. So obviously right now is not the right time to pursue a relationship with her.
