Take a Long, Hard Look in the Mirror.

People tend to judge others, and I myself am very guilty of that. I will be the first person to jump to conclusions, or make up my mind about someone without knowing the full details/story. However, after meeting some interesting people along the way in my life, I have learned a few things that I find are useful and enlightening to share with you.

Take a Long, Hard Look in the Mirror.

1. Everyone is dealing with something

Just because you have had a bad day, or are moody- doesn't mean that people around you deserve to take your attitude. Everyone, and I mean everyone is dealing with their own problems, and just because you don't know about, or people choose not to vocalize it- doesn't mean they don't have stress to worry about. Whether it is a relationship breakup or an ill grandpa in the hospital, we all have our worries. Out of sight doesn't mean out of mind.

2. It is easy to judge

Of course it is easy to judge. But it is a lot more difficult to collect all the facts and place yourself in the shoes of the person that you are judging. When people tell a person who has just broken up with their significant other to just "move on" or they "deserve better" it doesn't make all the hurt feelings go away. We are not a light switch.

3. Different perspective

Everyone may have a different perspective on the same thing. But just because you see things a certain way doesn't make your view fact and everything else false. Having an open attitude and recognizing that grey exists in many variation is key.
