When a guy copies you in small ways, does that mean he likes you?

So this guy in my class gives off this vibe that he likes me and I always notice him copying me. Its through what he is wearing.
Like one day I will wear a plaid shirt and the next day in class he will wear plaid. Or if i wear a black top then he wears black.
do guys do this when they like someone or could all of this be a huge coincidence? (Its been going on for almost the whole semester so far)

If it's been going on for a whole semester then chances are it's not just a coincidence. He could be trying to signal you something.
