Why do I catch my crush staring at me?

I have a crush on this guy and class (both in high school and the same grade. We are also in all of the same classes and lunch), and I am getting a vibe that he likes me, but there are also mixed signals. A lot of times during the day, I can catch him staring at me and he either keeps eye contact for a few seconds, looks away abruptly, or smirks like he's been caught. Is he attracted to me? Even if i am in a crowd at school, he scans until he finds me.

other things he does:
- sits very close to me if he has to tell the whole table something at lunch (there is no room in between, but he doesn't sit at my table)
- touched me a few times (like a pat on the back when I made a nice pass in volleyball during gym)
- teases me, but rarely
- shares his food if I am still hungry (we both love to eat A LOT, and we don't share with other people often)
- agrees with a lot of stuff that I say (we have so many similarities)
- tells me pick up lines nonchalantly (we were having a contest between each other to see who had the best pick up line, and now it's like an inside joke and we say pick lines to each other)
