He showers me with compliments during sex but isn't so vocal outside of the bedroom?

The guy I'm dating showers me with compliments during sex. He says I'm so hot, so pretty, has a great body, and that he's so attracted to me. He says this over and over again during sex. Outside of the bedroom, though, I only get a "You look great/nice!" I would like to hear "I'm so attracted to you" even outside of the bedroom!

Does this mean anything? Are the compliments he gives me during sex not to be taken seriously if he's not showering me with compliments before and after sex?

Personally I like to complement a girl whenever I feel like saying it. So this is usually all the time and I have to censor it a little.

It could be sex talk, women are less visual and more mental than men in the bedroom. He may want to make you feel sexy so you become more confident and passionate. Or he may only be complimenting you only when he's getting something out of it.

If it's ONLY when you're having sex it's probably the latter. Go for a guy who can pay you a compliment because he wants to see that smile on your face once in a while.

He does give me compliments even when we're not having sex, but they're never as intense as the ones he gives during sex.

Define intense though. Sometimes I'll pay her a compliment, it'll be playful and flirty but not suggestive in an "I want sex now" kinda way, it's just to give her a little boost and see her smile. I want her to feel good about herself. Other times I'll hold her close and tell her how much she means to me, get a bit poetic, be tender. lol.

If you think something is wrong it usually is, if he's just doing it to maintain a girlfriend on the regular you will be able to tell. Unless you cray and it's all in your head. lol

And I say intense because the compliments during sex are overwhelming. It's like almost the entire time, I was being showered with compliments. Outside of the bedroom, he still gives me compliments about how I look, but they're definitely nothing like what he says during sex.

It's hard to tell, but I think people get more vocal about things like that during sex. I usually don't, but I imagine some guys are more vocal and compliment more during sex. I don't see it as a red flag, but then again I'm no dating guru.

I'm not talking about dirty talk. He says "you're hot, you're so pretty, I'm so attracted to you" over and over again during sex. Outside the bedroom, although he still compliments me, it's usually a simple "you look great" or "you look nice."
