Video games: is it really that big a deal if a guy texts you back while playing, do you think?

I know there's that bumper sticker that says "if a guy pauses a video game to call you back, marry him" lol but guys, is it really a big deal in your opinion if a guy consistently texts back (even one-word answers) and especially if it's a non-pausable game, and tells you over and over "no I don't mind I just can't send long answers"?

If he IS PLAYING THEM NONSTOP and only get smaller and smaller amount of time with you, then yes you gotta have a talk with him, otherwise nah don't worry about it :).

Us games, we don't hate it when our halves text us while playing, we hate it when you spam while we do it :).
Short answers are faster to send and don't need the loss of attention you get when you try to write a LONG one. When it's a short answer it means we keep on looking ingame to see if everything is okay ingame and aka we can't talk much. But if it's a LONG answer it means we can spear some time to talk :).

Oh no I meant he's playing an unpausable game and still takes the time to carry on a conversation although it's short replies most of the time. He's paying attention though as far as I can tell.

Like LoL, Dota, Call of duty, you may have heard some of em :). But if he almost always has time to say a few words and at least text back that he can STILL talk while playing that sorta games, then yes It kinda is a big deal.

by the way offtopic. Here is a piece of advice. 9/10 people that play games like league, in time start developing anger issues. Because if you know what a troll is, famous games like that ARE FULL of them. So if at times he gets angry just... don't text him as often untill he calms down.

haha the trolls. I have offered to type obnoxious things in Spanish to them. And I've spammed his friend (w/his approval) with comments in lolconnect just to mess with the friend while he's in-game (kind of mean but the reaction was funny).
(I'm awful at games but I can appreciate them, ish.)

i think it's all got to do with the guy, you got remember lot guys don't want bend
for girl they rather let her hang but hey if they need something right away their

It depends on the guy but for the most part I'd say yes.
For me it's more like:
If a guy is playing a game he CAN pause and he pauses it to text you back, date him long term.
If a guy is playing a game he CAN'T pause but he DOES text you back, marry him.
Lol sometimes I don't even check my phone when I'm gaming, especially, if I'm playing a game I can't pause.

Hahaha it's a non-pausable game yet he managed to keep up a fairly coherent one-word-answer conversation and only after like 10 min does he say gtg playing.
Admittedly he replies to others too sometimes but I think he just doesn't want to be rude - and he consistently does this to me. Also I'm not sure if they text him in-game or if he leaves to play and says he's leaving.

If I like the girl I will text back pretty quick while playing a game, some games that I've played a couple of times and know what button on the controller does what and where I can go and hide on the game so I don't die I can play with the controller in one hand and phone in other without looking at the tv, but all other people who text me will get no response until I am done.

I try if I'm playing a single-player game (unless it's an epic boss battle and I don't want to fuck over my epicness). However, If I'm in a multiplayer match, I am not going to stop the game until the round is over.

Anybody in a relationship should be happy their SO has the kindness to even reply with a one word answer at all and not bitch about receiving an "OK" or "not much", especially when you are interfering with time they want to themselves.

It's a multiplayer non pausable game and he's told me multiple times that he's fine with texting but not to expect long replies bc it's difficult (once he tells me he's playing I try to stop texting). And he plays it a lot - he loves it lol - and with almost anyone else, he tells them pretty quickly that he's in-game and can't talk.

Basically in video games, guys feel going in another world where they are the best thing ever. If they are willing to pause and get out of this world where they reign supreme just to text you, it means you mean more to him than his world.

I wouldn't say reign supreme etc. - also he does text other people back too, but usually to tell them he's playing and bye - with me he talks for a while before he says that (it's a non-pausable game and hard for him to text) :). Some time ago I would call him and he would be playing and instead of hanging up he would start telling me about the game haha.

It's league of legends so unpausable plus team game - so your friends get mad if you afk during a game and you need both hands to play. I think he texts back when he can but half the time I don't realize he's playing bc he keeps up a steady (if short-answers) conversation. He's told me several times that he really doesn't mind and that he just can't type long responses.

I still do it. Depending on the person, I would take more or less time to answer. If it's a friend, he can wait, but if it's the girl I like, the game can wait. It's just a game, I'm not gonna lose anything by losing the match, but with the girl, if I ignore her text, I can lose a lot.
