What does it mean when a man hold your gaze?

ok so long story short so a man i work with I've had a crush on him since July. from that time and now weve talked about my feelings for him but completely discarded a relationship do to his position at the company vs mine.
do to that same position he had been giving me the cold shoulder im assuming to keep us out of trouble.

anyway this last week or so when i go into his office and tell him i need his help he looks at me holds a slight gaze before replying than he turns back to his computer.
so the other day i needed him again for something and i stood in his doorway to ask he looked at me for i wanna say a minute without speaking and just stared at me i held his gaze with him trying to keep professional i could feel me breaking a smile about to ask him what was with the look and then he replied to what i needed and turned away...
why do guys hold a girls gaze when they know the girls got feelings for him?

well some people just like the eye contact, so consider this possibility.
some men will be trying to indicate interest by doing this too. kind of like telling u something without words.

i can't keep my gaze on someone too long when i speak to them. I don't know y. no matter who they are lol.

I've always thought (and been told) that it's a sign that he's interested in you. Sounds like he might just be considering his options. Hang in there, see if he makes a move because it sounds like he may be considering it.

I think so too. If a girl or guy gives you eye contact, they are interested. The second look means they want you to approach I think. I normally end up running away, I think I was meant to approach!

It means 3 things

1. He is intrested in you
2. He is gonna take revenge on something
3. He likes to make eye contact with people
4. He likes your eyes...(i do that when i see sparkling eye... lol)
