Why are my crush's friends always smiling/laughing when I'm around?

My crush in question is never around, but they act funny.

They either just stare at me, and then suddenly whip away as though they weren't looking, or they get loud, or they just smile at me.

Another one of his friends kept looking over his shoulder when I was there.

What gives? I have a hard time believing he told them he likes me, so that's not it.

If a guy liked two girls, and liked one more because he knew her more, would he actively think he may be hurting the other girl's feelings by spending a lot of time with the other?

I'm genuinely curious. I know as a girl I'm instantly aware when a guy feels sad about not being a priority, but I'm not sure if it's as obvious to guys when it's the other way around.

Ok so either they know he likes you... or they know you like him. Which one you think it is?

They may know I like him, but it doesn't explain why one of them tries to hit on me too! Would he really be such a jerk and tell them I liked him? I've never explicitly said so, but he may have figured it out.

Ok I have kinda been is this situation before... First of all he may not heve told them anything really, thay may just have picked up on it. Second, they hit on you to boost their own ego or they like you and don't care what their friend thinks/feels. look at your crush body language, what he says... listen to your gut.

Hmm I never talk to his friends/have anything to do with them, so I don't think they picked up on it on their own.

I think it may be boosting their own ego; it also made me conclude that my crush doesn't like me, because he would have warned his friends not to do stupid things, if he did?

My crush always looks deep into my eyes, but he seems uncomfortable too. He never gets red or blushes, but looks uncomfortable.

I'm gonna guess your crush either doesn't know his friends are acting that way or doesn't want to cause drama with his buddies and you. Don't be mad at your crush... sounds like he likes you.

Yes, I can tell you from personal experience my crush had no idea what his friends were doing behind his back, esp to the girl he may have been interested in...

Oh my goodness I just remembered something, I was using this little girl baby voice around my crush the last time I saw him, do you think he told his friends? Is that why they're always so amused.

I didn't do it intentionally, it just sort of came out, I wonder if that's why he was uncomfortable. Grr.

One last question: if he liked me, why is his profile picture with a girl, whom he knows very well, that I am a tad bit jealous of? He's holding her pretty close, (not sure if they're dating), and he changed it not much after a recent interaction of ours.

I mean, it's really far-fetched, and I don't want to be delusional. But do you think at least a small part of him, realizes I'll be jealous

But I do have a gut feeling that he likes the both of us, but likes her more. That's what stops me from letting him pursue me. I'm not jealous of her per say, but I'm jealous of the fact that he used to pay so much attention to her.

Let me guess.. you are from his hometown? A pic of a girl on his FB profile means nothing, and yeah he could be using to create jealousy, ego... who knows. I've had many profiles with me and a guy and none I actually really dated. Guys are unsure until they know they may have a chance with a girl so just give him a bit of a green light.

What gave it away... hunch and process of elimination. I assumed since you were not in with his typical social circle. Hometown loves work best in my opinion because you guys will find that place of comfort known as home within each other and relate to so much more.

Yeah, unfortunately I'm not within his inner circle. I get where you are coming from about hometown loves being more compatible, and relatable. There's a place of comfort within each other; I feel that too when I see him.

One of them caught me staring in the mirror smiling to myself, he looked down and was trying so hard not to smile... I felt like glaring at him but I just let it go -_-

Not necessarily... some guys feel threatened if their best bud gets a gf and they have no one... think about it, what would guys night look like to them? That's why some guys will not think marriage until their guys start getting hitched.

Hmm that's fair. His close 'friend,' has been trying to flirt with me for a while way before my crush, (I don't think he is really interested in me). Maybe he's a tad bit annoyed that I'm not paying attention to him, and more so to his buddy.

Yup, I have been in that awkward triangle... even though my crush's friend knew we kinda had a thing for each other it didn't stop him from trying to hook up and I honestly believe he wanted to come between us because he lost his wing man for a time.

That's true, it would make sense from that perspective. Screw his friend, he's a weirdo anyways never liked the guy I don't know what my crush sees in him. I remember the first time he asked if I knew him, I literally looked at him for a second, smiled politely and was thinking of why he'd want to be friends with a guy like that.
