Why do a lot of guys like petite girls and women?

I'm 4'11 and 92lbs. I get lots of attention from guys and even tall ones. My friend is 5'11 and 201lbs and when we're in public, I get attention from some men and she got ignored. The smaller guys seem to be hitting on her. I'm not fishing for compliments or being cocky or anything. I'm just curious. My older sister is 5' and her boyfriend is 6'2. My ex boyfriend was 6' and he told me he liked girls my size than bigger taller girls. Why would a guy prefer a 4'11 petite girl over a 5'11 big girl?

There are loads of reasons why men prefer short women.

Smaller women are seen as more feminine, sexy and seductive. So therefore it's only obvious that men would be more interested in smaller women. Also smaller women are more vulnerable which is good in two ways, it makes the guy feel better and stronger as he is almost the protector and your hero. Which makes loads of guys feel good when they are stron and can show of. However it's also good for loads of other things like sex and stuff. As the guy is taller, he will have more power meaning he will be more dominant. Such as while having sex, where he is seen as the man of the house/relationship. This includes having sex where he can dominate, please his women while living out his macho man fantasy.
Taller women will still get attention, but some men feel inferior to tall women and/or taller (than themselves) women. So this thing of power and domination won't work.

You remember that picture I posted in your other question of the little lady and her big husband?

There's something about a petite girl that gets my motor running. Hugging her and getting my arms all the way around and then some. Bend over to kiss her. Which she snuggles up in bed and you can feel her little body nestled against your chest.

(and of course, the sexytimes - there's a reason petite girls are funsize)

I'm sure there's a deeper, protective instinct that's being triggered here.

Well the thing is is that most guys don't like girls their size or taller than them. As a 6'2 guy myself, I prefer petite women because they're easier to carry around, you can pick them up and give them piggyback rides. I'm not saying that tall girls can't get piggy back rides. Probably a tall thin girl can get a piggyback ride. Anyways most guys want to feel dominant and masculine. There's nothing wrong with taller girls and women thought, I just prefer smaller women. My girlfriend is 5' also.
