Why guys bite their fingers when see some hot girl?

When guys stare at girls, some of them make this gesture:they keep cheking her out, then they touch their mouth or make a fist and bite it or bite a finger.
What it means and why some guys do this?

I don't know. I nibble on my finger when I'm stressed. But I've never done anything for girls I'm attracted to.

i've seen it in tv shows and stuff, its the same gesture people make when they're trying not to laugh, biting their knuckles. its suppression of a feeling.

Likely you have seen the meme of Leonardo DiCaprio biting his fist, which is taken from a scene in the movie "Wolf of Wall Street" (2008). I don't think it's a natural impulse, but it's a very clear indication. I'm a straight guy, I personally never have done it, and have not seen a guy unconsciously/naturally do it. Although, I have noticed that I occasionally burp in front of people that I dislike when I pass by them, a rude habit that I must stop.
