This girl sometimes shows interest and sometimes ignores me. What does this mean?

Question

For 7 months now she has shown interest, some really obvious signs of liking me, and the first few weeks she was really obvious all the time, now there are some times where she just ignores me, or doesn't even notice or look at me.

I haven't approached her because I'm too nervous, but I have shown interest back. She met a guy, so she hasn't been showing me that much interest anymore, but there are still some times where she will look at me.

Is she over me? Like for example, one walk between classes and she will completley ignore me, then later in the day she will look at me and stuff, then she won't again.

Sometimes she shows interest for a whole day, sometimes for half of a day, its weird, and when she does I get happy, when she doesn't I automaticaly assume she doesn't like me because she is popular and I'm only average.

the more you let this wondering phase carry on, the more games there will be. I speak from experience...i was the same way about a guy. Not until you confront her, or start talking to her as friends, somehow, you won't get your answers. You have to build courage and just do something, to get her attention. Even if you think you're being obvious and have shown interest, the person may be oblivious or insecure and may have not noticed. Girls want guys to make the move. I know its a stereotype, but that's just how it is sadly. You have to make a move to make her feel comfortable and get her to open up more. I'm on the shy side too, and when I was wondering if my crush likes me or not, I emailed him and asked him why he doesn't talk much anymore, why has he been so busy how is he and stuff, just be nice and sweet, and he replied saying nothing is wrong and the next day he was more open and flirty in person...

sometimes you just need to be as obvious as possible without full on confessing you like someone, in order to get your answers. the sooner you do it, the better for the long run. because I don't want you to find out another 7 months later she never liked you...if you wanna know if she likes you and you wanna date her be with her, you should take the stand and do something. its hard when you're on the shy side but you have to overcome ur fears someday.

7 months! that's a long time to keep an interested girl waiting, she isn't showing as much interest because she feel like you aren't interested as you haven't made a move, Most of us girls hate making moves, we give subtle or obvious hints that we like the guy and just hope for the best, You should definitely try to talk to her, I know you're shy, But once you do it you will feel so much better, she doesn't bite, a simple " hey, how are you?" doesn't kill anyone, it sparks up a conversation, get to know her, and then think how you should go about making a move, only of course, if she starts showing signs of interest, although one piece of advice is to make sure you don't get to know her as a friend, that's why guys get friend zoned

Ha... it sounds like she's playing mind games! Yes, really. Girls do things like that. She probably thinks you're cute but is too shy to come right out and say it. Some days she may not look in order not to seem stalker-ish because you've caught her in the act, or stopped trying for a bit to see how you react.  Just say hello some time, or maybe inquire about something that happened during the day. Open up to her. And maybe even ask her "Hey do I have something on my face? It seems you're always looking at me." or just tell her how you feel. If anything, if some guy told me that EVEN if I didn't like him back, that'd give me a huge confidence boost and it'd be really flattering. You've nothing to lose =)

When a girl shows interest to a guy and he doesn't give her any clear sighs that he likes her back for whatever reason, she will likely move on and never look at him again. You're lucky if this girl doesn't completely ignore you after that, most do.

Next time you realize a girl likes you don't get nervous, go straight to the point and tell her you like her. If you know the girl likes you, why would you get nervous to ask her out or something? She will likely say yes, don't you think?

It saddens me cause it's happened to me before and not because I was nervous, but because I didn't show the same interest, then when I wanted the girl didn't and I was ignored.

I didn't even have to finish reading this to know the problem... grow some balls haha. She's wants you to make the first move and giving her little signs back its good enough for her. She wants a guy who is confident and isn't afraid to make a move and ask her out. She is giving you signs and hints that mean she wants you to be a man and make a move. You wait to long and she'll get tired and waiting for you and take the next guys offer who'll step up to the plate. You can't be afraid to approach a woman and let her know your interested in her. She probly showed interest in the beginning because she liked you but she didn't know if you liked her back. Obviously you didn't give her any clear signs because she moved on and found another guy. She probably doesn't feel the same way anymore but maybe she looks at you because she wonders what could have been.

As a girl who has done this before, I would say that she wants to give up on you romantically because she thinks you are not interested, but still has some feelings for you. I would say that you need to talk to her and tell her how you feel before she really does give up on you.
I tell this to all of my guy friends who are single and wanting to be in a relationship: if you feel something for a girl, act on it. If you want to be in a relationship, do something about it!

I liked a guy for nearly as long, at first he seemed really interested in me but then he stopped replying to my texts. At first I thought he was busy, but when he didn't text back I thought he lost interest in me. Strangely, I sometimes catch him looking at me and blushing.
