Why do guys purposely walk by girls?

I notice this happening a lot; I'll see someone from afar and they'll suddenly come up beside me, or walk past me multiple times, stuff like that.

Do they like me, or are looking for a way to break the ice?

Could they just be friendly? Sometimes I know the guys in question, but I don't say hi because I'm shy.

I sometimes do that when I see a cute girl. I go to get a better look, and I go to try and get her attention.

When i am with my friends though, we do that ALL the time haha.

They probably find you attractive. Next time, smile at them if you are interested.

Uhmm it could be or it could just be coincidence. Honestly, I wouldn't do that to just be friendly because if I was then I would have said hi. I do that sometimes when I've got my eyes on a girl (interested in her).

But to be fair to him, I looked really, really uncomfortable, so maybe he just assumed I didn't want to talk to him and left me alone instead of saying hi.

Because I saw him from afar, and looked away, so I didn't understand why he suddenly came up beside me, (he literally walked from the other end of the mall).

I guess he was being friendly, because he hasn't seen me for a while, but it just surprised me. Plus, I was sitting and chatting with a guy, and I didn't want him to know that I knew the other guy because he may ask me questions about it.

Yeah, I know he noticed me. No, he looked stunned to see me, like he saw a ghost or something.

Then sometime afterward I saw him again, but this time he just kept staring at me and holding my gaze until I looked away.

He was probably surprised to see you there.

He probably finds you attractive. It could explain why he is staring lol.

Does attraction equal crush, or is it just hey she's kind of cute staring.

It definitely can be both. I stare at girls I really like and girls I find attractive. Even if he just finds you attractive, it is still very good. I say this because you will have a chance with him.

lol why do they think this? I've literally noticed this at one point, this guy was slowly walking with his head kind of down, I guess he was waiting for me to say hi or something, but I didn't do that.

Why not just say hi? Attraction?

Why not just smile at me, and see my reaction? I mean obviously I will figure out he wanted my attention if he walks passed me. But a smile could literally just be friendly
